How
can I get a Parental Control device for my TV?
Lock out devices (traps) are available at no charge.
There is a range of technology tools (V-Chip, Lockbox,
Set-top box) to control cable program access within
your home. Tools vary by service. If you have a set-top
box, it may have parental control capabilities.

My
parents are hard of hearing. Can they get captioned
TV? How is this done?
Closed Caption devices are available at no charge.

My
parents live in Senior Housing. They were required to
move within their housing complex by the Housing Administration
/management. The relocation was tough enough, but then
we got a reinstallation charge from the Cable Company.
Is this necessary?
No. When this type of situation is brought to the attention
of the Cable Company it is possible that the charge
can be waived. If this type of situation occurs, contact
us with customer name and before and after address
of your parent.
The
Cable Company Web site refers to Digital Services. What
Digital Services are available in our area?
As of July 2004 ON DEMAND and HDTV are available. Digital
Video Recorders are not yet available in our area.
Is
the Cable Company obligated to provide community services?
COMCAST does sponsor or participate in many community
initiatives. They do have specific obligations per the
franchise agreement for Community Access and Cable TV
and Internet technologies for all K-12 schools and public
Libraries. For information on the Education technologies
refer to the Education
Committee.

INTERNET SERVICES
Can
I contact the CAC with Internet Services issues if my
Cable Company is my Internet provider?
CACSCC is not authorized to provide customer advocacy
for Internet Services as this service falls under different
regulatory domain. However we will include Internet
in the Forum area fro Customers to share with each other.
