WHERE WE ARE: After a Community Needs Assessment required by Conn. Gen. Stat. § 16-331(f), the Branford Franchise renewal concluded with the dissolution of the ‘company’ run community access facility and 100% increase in funding to P.E.G. access groups for P.E.G. management. Within a few months of the renewal the franchisee changed as a result of the merger of AT&T Broadband and COMCAST.

From the public record - Concerns and Expectations of the merger:

  • that the Customers should benefit from economies of scale associated with a larger service area
  • that the Cable Franchisee will honor any and all agreements made between the FRANCHISEE AND CACSCC AND ACCESS GROUPS associated with the Franchise Process.
  • that the Cable Franchisee will ensure continuity of company representation in CACSCC affairs.
