- 2001 presentation to CACSCC
about CTN
- Consultant Report on franchise
potential … innovative services, including audio
services, information services, electronic publishing
and information concerning the proceedings of the
General Assembly and legislative committees (Is ATT
considering using the recapture CH21 in whole or in
part for CTN and CRIS(Community College Instructional
Television (CCIT) network)- this would strongly sway
how we value the change as Advisory members vs. PEG
supporters)
- COMCAST/ATT Change control
Docket 02-03-10: The Connecticut Television Network
(CTN), which videotapes local government in action,
urged the Department to request that AT&T Comcast
be required to set aside a channel devoted to state-level
government access on each of its Connecticut franchise
area channel line-ups as a condition for application
approval. State House Majority Leader David B. Pudlin
wrote in support of CTN's proposal.
- April 2004: COMCAST REPORT
CTN added to digital tier
- June 10,2004: Technical review
of DCT for CT-N:
John, I would not use the set top boxes for this purpose
on any kind of
permanent basis. There is to much room for human error
with regard to the wrong content being inadvertently
sent out on a channel, not to mention reboots and
signal interruption. BC
- 2004: On June 8 – 22nd, the new router switching
technology was used for the first time to cablecast
CT-N news from the state capitol. CT-N was providing
gavel to gavel coverage of the Special Investigation
Committee Hearings regarding the Office of Governor.
The Community Access organizations responded to a
request made by COMCAST and CT-N to air the proceedings
on a Basic Tier access channel as a public service.
